Tiktok has made a huge market in social media among the world in the lockdown. As TikTok is a worldwide company it rather focuses on the profit of the company rather than the benefit of their customers.

In the context of Nepal, the craze of TikTok is high whatever whenever the people are doing they are making TikTok like while cooking, TikTok in the bathroom mirror, etc. Is it really good to make tiktok anytime? I don’t think so people should be more concerned about their real-life than reel life.

Literally from child to old age, everyone is making TikTok. Students rather than studying in the classroom are making fun by making TikTok in school colleges. Isn’t our society going backward in the darkness?

It is a good platform for all of us to show our talent by a short clip of video but even too much use causes so much harm. There are 3.7 million active users from Nepal in TikTok. Too much use of social media like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram may lead to cyberbullying, introvert, etc.

People from Nepal are attracted to western trends which tend to end our own Nepali culture in the world. Many teenagers are attracted toward sexual trends of tiktok to gain followers like popularity there but who knows for why many days that popularity will exist. I am not here to prove tiktok is wrong but I want to clarify that the more you use the more your time is wasted and harms you in the future.

Many small home business is getting under people’s eyes due to tiktok too. Live hoster are making this a side profession and money from tiktok also. Tiktok is a different world from reality. Focus on your real-life than reel life.

Advantages of Tiktok in Nepal

  • Growth and Advertisement Platform for small businesses
  • Foreign Currency Revenue
  • Platform to show our talent
  • Learn the lifestyle of the different countries around the world
  • Get Inspiration and motivated

Disadvantages of Tiktok in Nepal

  • Influences of western culture
  • This leads to accidents on roads, bridges, etc
  • Engagement of youth in tiktok rather than studying in classrooms
  • Makes people feel sad by looking at others’ reel lifestyles.
